The whole curriculum, taught live.
This is Profit Mastery University, all six modules, taught live by Colin instead of watched on your own. Same curriculum as our flagship in-person bootcamp. Same instructor. The only difference is where you sit.
Here's the plan: we teach it through case studies, working real financial statements on the screen together. You see the method run start to finish on a real set of books, then take the templates and the concepts and run the same plays on your own numbers. You're in a room of owners doing the same work, asking the same questions. Miss a class? The replay keeps you on pace.
The Seven Steps to Creating Value.
Everything in Profit Mastery hangs on these seven. Get them right and you build value. Miss them and you leak it, usually without seeing it happen. Every session tells you which step you're on.
- Plan properly
- Monitor your financial position
- Understand price, volume, and costs
- Manage cash flow
- Manage growth
- Borrow properly
- Plan for transition
You know your trade. The numbers, less so.
This is for owners of established businesses, roughly $500K to $10M. You are past the startup scramble. You are profitable (mostly). But the financials still read like a foreign language, and you can feel there is money getting left on the table somewhere. You just cannot always point to which decisions matter most. You are not looking for an accounting class. You want the operating system that lets you make a confident call on pricing, cash, growth, and the people you trust with your business. That is this.
Six sessions. Six modules.
Build the foundation
Why businesses underperform, and the Seven Steps that keep you out of the ditch. You'll take the opening quiz, so you see which steps you're already losing ground on. Then the Financial Operating Cycle, and the three things your profit can actually do once you've earned it. This is the session that frames everything after it.
Read the numbers, find the story
The heart of the course. We build the Ratio Scorecard, put the ratios into plain words, and compare against your industry. Then we walk the Cause and Effect Road Map: start at a symptom, trace it back to what's actually causing it.
Tool: your Ratio ScorecardBreak-even, then test a price move
How cost patterns move profit. Break-even in dollars and by unit. Then the what-ifs: change a price, a volume, or a cost, and see what it does before you commit. This is also how you judge a location or a department.
Tool: Break-EvenProfit and cash are not the same thing
We build a profit plan and cash budget step by step, then graph it. Seasonal swings, the patterns cash follows, and how to use a forecast for variance reporting. Cash is statistically the number one reason businesses fail.
Tool: Profit Plan and Cash BudgetGrowth consumes cash
What growth does to your balance sheet, and how to project the Financial Gap it opens before it opens. We size your future asset needs, then run the Sponge Technique to wring cash out of the balance sheet you already have.
Tool: Financial Gap AnalysisBorrow right, then tie it all together
Matching the life of the asset to the life of the loan, what your banker actually needs from you, and the Five C's of Credit. Then we recap all six modules end to end. Bring the questions you've been sitting on from the first five sessions, because this is where we clean them up and you leave with the whole system in one piece.
Four tools you keep running.
- ✓Your Ratio Scorecard. The handful of numbers that show where your business really stands, plus how you compare to your industry.
- ✓Break-Even. The sales you need just to cover costs, and a way to test a pricing move before you make it.
- ✓Profit Plan and Cash Budget. A forecast you can actually run, so you see the cash coming before it hits the bank.
- ✓Financial Gap Analysis. What your growth will cost, and where to find the money to pay for it.
You won't leave with theory. You'll leave with the templates, a digital workbook, and a year inside Profit Mastery University to go back through any of it.
They came in lost in the numbers.
